The Majete Game Capture Camp is a brand-new campsite located in the wilderness of the Majete Wildlife Reserve. Guests can participate in game viewing activities such as game drives, boat and walking safaris.

Set up your tent at our campsite at the designated sites, each with its own braai area. We also have four tents with mattresses available to hire. Or stay in one of our three treetop wooden shelters, which overlook the bush. You’ll sleep on a deck, where the wood and canvas bedroom is reached by a stairway. Your bed faces a large wood gauze window, through which you can watch birds in the branches around you. Each treetop shelter comes with its own balcony, where two director’s chairs are placed, so you can sit in total privacy and watch the magic of Majete unfold. Each shelter is lockable, contains either single or double beds with mosquito nets, bedside table, electric points and mattresses. You will also get your own cupboard which includes all kitchen equipment you should need. For those who do not wish to sleep in the treetops, we also have a Traditional Malawian thatched ground shelter which includes the same as the Treetop Shelters.

For all of the above you will need to bring your own linen or you can hire this from us.

The campsite has a large open lapa with a large lounge area and kitchen. The kitchen is equipped with an oven and fridge freezer. The lapa is a perfect spot to relax after a game activity where you can sit on our Malawian made lounge furniture and look out onto the bush. In addition there are numerous braai facilities and a large toilet block with flushing toilets and hot/cold showers.

Guests are welcome to spend time at the Mwembezi Restaurant and swimming pool at the entrance.
